EQUALITY OBJECTIVES SEPT 2023

Westmoor Primary School is committed to ensuring quality of provision throughout the school community, irrespective of their race, gender, disability, belief, religion or socio-economic backgrounds.  We recognise that some pupils need additional support to help them achieve and be successful.

Our aim is for all children to achieve their full potential.  In order to achieve this, we have set the following equality objectives:

• To narrow the Pupil Premium gap in reading, writing and Maths in all year groups.
• To further improve provision for pupils for whom English is an additional language, particularly new arrivals at the early stage of English acquisition.
• To ensure the attainment between ethnic groups within the school remain comparable to national standards over the next two years.
• To eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations (Under the Equality Act 2010).
