At Westmoor Primary School our aim is for everyone to Work Together, Play Together and Succeed Together.
We teach the 6 R's (Readiness, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Resilience, Reflectiveness and Respect) from Reception to Year 6, so that the children gain the tools they need to become confident, independent learners.
Our curriculum is driven by the desire that all children will lead happy, healthy and productive lives. We believe the essential tool that enables our children to achieve is the acquisition and development of communication, language and literacy, which runs as a thread from EYFS to Year 6.
We were inspected by Ofsted in December 2018 and were judged as GOOD in all areas.
Through meaningful and memorable learning experiences, we aim to open children's eyes to a wider cultural world beyond their immediate environment and enable them to not only have aspirations for their future, but also to show them how these are practically possible.
Therefore, our curriculum encompasses not only statutory requirements, but is also enriched through the bespoke strands; Am i happy, healthy and safe? Am i future ready? which are designed to meet identified needs of our curriculum.
Westmoor Primary School opened in September 2013, and caters for boys and girls, aged 2-11 years of age with a Nursery on site. At present approximately 432 children are on roll.
Our site is securely surrounded by fencing and well maintained grounds. We have a Sports Hall, two all-weather MUGAs, a Tree House, large playing fields incorporating three football pitches, outdoor mini amphitheatre, adventure playgrounds and school gardens. We are a busy and friendly school, with lots going on.
