At Westmoor Primary School our ethos is to:
Work Together: Our curriculum is tailored to the individual needs of our pupils and we aim to provide exiting, hands-on learning opportunities whenever possible. In addition, our talented and caring staff are committed to providing a creative and stimulating learning environment in which all pupils can thrive.
Play Together: We encourage out of class time to be constructive, safe and fun. All our lunchtime staff are trained play leaders and we provide a range of fully staffed extra curricular activities. Our activites change on a regular basis to accommodate the interests of our pupils. Recent clubs have included DJ Podcasting, Youth Club, Let’s Get Cooking, Netball, Football, Sewing, Knitting, Choir and Gardening.
Succeed Together: Our Key Stage 2 SATs results have improved every year and are now in line with National Averages. Our pupils make good or outstanding progress.
We have recently merged with a local Nursery and Infant school and the achievement of our youngest pupils is already improving.
Westmoor Primary School opened in September 2013, and caters for boys and girls, aged 2-11 years of age with a Nursery on site. It is currently set on two sites, but due to move to one site by June 2018. At present approximately 544 children are on roll.
Both sites are securely surrounded by fencing and well maintained grounds. We have a Sports Hall and an all-weather MUGA, a traversing wall, large playing fields incorporating three football pitches, outdoor mini amphitheatre, adventure playgrounds, outdoor eating/learning area and school gardens.
We are a busy and friendly school, with lots going on.
The aim of this website is to give you a taster of our school as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.
