Welcome back to all the children joining us in Key Stage 1. We hope you have had a wonderful holiday and looking forward to being back to school after the summer and we have all settled in brilliantly. We have been planning lots of fun learning for us to do over the Autumn Term and can't wait to get started.

This term, our topic is 'What is great about Great Britain?' where we will be looking at different aspects that make up Great Britain including specific geographical features. Part of our learning will take place outside identifying human and physical features.

We will also be looking at how our country has changed over time and the differences older generations notice between when they grew up, and what the world looks like now.

In literacy, we have been writing stories set in familiar places. Our stories have been based on 'The Tiger who came to tea' written by Judith Kerr. We will be adapting the story into our own version and re-enacting some of these through some drama.

We will also be writing newspaper reports about an event happening at Westmoor. Keep looking to see what happens...
