We will be going back to basics and having a re-cap of our numbers to 20, 50 and 100. Learning how to add one more and take one less, and starting to build up an understanding of ones and tens. This half term we will also take a look at money and the currency used in the UK.

Topic

Our topic this half term is called ‘Keepin Fit'.

In our continuous provision we will be covering a range of lessons:

Science – We will be exploring the human body including the skeleton and comparing it to that of an animal. We will also look at what senses we have and how we used them in every day life.

Art – Within art we will be learning how to sketch fruit. We will start by building up our understanding of different shades and how to sketch objects from sight.

DT – We will be creating fruit kebabs or an alternative healthy snack linked to our topic of keeping fit. We will design our kebab after tasting fruits and testing out different ways to hold our kebabs together.

‘Work Together. Play Together, Succeed Together
