Reading

Mr Williamson has spent a lot of lockdown losing himself in a number of good books from Harry Potter to his
favourite cricketer's (Jonny Bairstow) autobiography. Audiobooks are a great way to listen to some of your favourite books, every week we will be sharing one of our favourites here for you to enjoy.

This week's is the classic 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'.

Reading Comprehensions

This year you have improved your understanding when reading and even though we are apart, we can all practice this skill at home.

Remember, don't worry if you can't complete some of the questions. Just have a go at what you can do.

Writing - Biographies

Biographies are written to tell the life story of a famous or influential person. This week we will be writing a biography focusing on the life of a fantastic scientific inventor of the past.

When writing biographies we should aim to include the following features:

- Written in the past tense.

- Written in the third person (he, she, they).

- Subheadings

- Time connectives

- Facts and Opinions.

Below is a planning outline, you may find useful.

‘Work Together. Play Together, Succeed Together
