This week you writing, reading and SPaG activities to complete in English

Writing

Your writing tasks will run over the next 2 weeks. This week is more focused on reading and understanding the task, whereas next week you will be building up to writing a story.  It is important to make sure you complete the work for this week before trying the writing next week. Throughout the week are five activities and the idea is to do one activity each day. If you are struggling for time it is fine to do more than one activity but don't try to do it all at once. As always, do you best and if you have any questions fill in the form at the top of the year 6  home learning page.

Reading

Complete the comprehension activities. As always, you don't need to print them out just read from the screen and answer on a piece of paper. There are pieces to read with questions following each one. Try to do one on Monday, Wednesday and Friday if you can but don't worry if you can't just try your best to do what you can.

Grammar

They say that if you haven't made a mistake then you haven't made anything. Grammar is one of those subjects where people often make mistakes without noticing, especially when they are speaking out loud. This week I have put together 2 tasks where there are a number of sentences which look like they could be correct but are actually wrong. Read the sentences aloud and correct the mistakes. The answers are on the page after the activities but try not to cheat.
