Today the children will be using to the terminology 'halving' 'doubling' and 'equal to'. If your child is not confident with these terms, ensure they have the time to become familiar with what they mean. Using practical resources can help with this and food is usually the best resource to support this! You can also use string, or ribbon, just some of the materials used in the video.
The video is excellent in explaining what the terms mean, so use this as much as needed for your child to gain understanding.
