Place value bag toss!

Write the digits 0-9 on pieces of paper. Place them in a bag and get your child to choose 2 digits and 3 digits each time. How many different ways can they create a number with those digits?

For example: if I picked out the numbers 3, 6 and 7 I could make 367, 673, 376, 637, 736 and 763. Can they tell you which digit represents the hundreds, tens and ones?

Ordering objects

How many everyday objects can your child find in the house? Can they order them smallest to biggest and biggest to smallest? Can they give each a certain value, for example I might say a banana represents 30 and a fork represents 21. Can your child order the objects with numerical values?
