Today, you are going to write the build-up for your story.  This is part of the build-up from the model….

 

in your build-up, you need to include:

  • Setting up and starting to play the game.
  • Things start to go wrong.  The players notice that something strange is happening.
  • There are a few small things go wrong when the players take their turns.
  • You need to create tension in your story and show that the characters in your story are really beginning to panic.  Remember to ‘SHOW NOT TELL’ – how can you let the reader know that a character is scared?
  • Now write your build-up and make it exciting for the reader.
