Todays literacy book: Stick Man - by Julia Donaldson.

Comprehension questions:
Where does the Stickman live? Who does he live with? What does the dog want to use Stickman for? What happens after stickman drifts down the river? Tell me two ways that Stickman gets used by the children. What is the boy wearing to keep warm? How does Stickman feel without his family? What do you think might have fallen down their chimney?
Remember you can write these down or discuss them with an adult.

DT- on your daily walk collect some sticks and make your own Stickman or even Stick family.

DT: Alternatively you could make Stickman out of your recycling.
