Curriculum at Westmoor

At Westmoor, we follow the National Curriculum at Key Stages One and Two which can be found here.

In EYFS, we follow the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and use the revised 2023 Development Matters framework. 

Whole School Curriculum Intent

At Westmoor, our curriculum is driven by the desire that all children will lead happy, healthy and productive lives.

We believe that the essential tool that enables our children to achieve is the acquisition and development of communication, language and literacy, which runs as a thread from EYFS to Year 6.

Through meaningful and memorable learning experiences, we aim to open children’s eyes to a wider cultural world beyond their immediate environment and enable them to be ready for the next step on their learning journey.

Therefore, our curriculum encompasses not only statutory requirements, but is also enriched through the bespoke strands; Am I happy, healthy and safe?  Am I future ready? which are designed to meet the identified needs of our curriculum.
