Welcome to Adams House!
I'm Miss McKeown and I'm extremely proud to be the head of Adams House. Over the next year I'm looking forward to welcoming you all and working together to make Adams House the best it can be. 
We are the 'green' house and are named after the Leeds-born former boxer, Nicola Adams. In 2012, she became the first British amateur female boxer to win gold at the London Olympics. She followed this up 4 years later in Rio, taking another Olympic gold medal. In 2017, she turned professional and held the World Boxing Organisation's World Champion belt between 2017 and 2019. 

Nicola Adams is one of Britain’s most inspirational sporting figures who overcame personal struggles to reign undefeated in the ring. She has been awarded an MBE and an OBE for her services to boxing. Following her retirement from boxing, she is a motivational speaker on diversity and inclusion and launched a boxing program in collaboration with The Prince's Trust to empower young people through sport. 
Our Adams House Motto is 'push forward and never give up on your dreams.' This reflects one of our 6 Rs and reminds us that if we keep pushing, we can achieve greatness! 
Adams' pupils are taught to treat everyone fairly and equally. If there is something that we want to achieve, we go for it and we work hard to achieve our goals. 
There are many ways we work together as a House. Throughout school, in all subjects, we receive House Points for our hard work. These points go towards the House Cup at the end of every half-term. As well as in our school work, there are many other inter-house competitions that we can gain points in.
Our House charity is 'Forget Me Not’, which epitomises the values of being caring, considerate, courageous, and genuine.
